We are naming our second son….
Isaac Judah Haines
Thanks for your patience. We had put this off because Isaac’s due date isn’t till the end of the month.
We wanted to stick with Hebrew names since the rest of our first and middle names are found in the Old Testament.
We love the story of redemption and willing sacrifice with Isaac in the Bible. Isaac means “he laughs”.
Judah means “praised”. David and Jesus were from the lineage of Judah. I don’t know that we’ll stick with the tribes of Israel theme (Asher, Judah), but we like the names so far.
Thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement. We are headed home today and are excited to show Asher his new brother!
Love it! We had the same issue with Elliot, only it was simply because we were undecieded and then I almost died ya know! Ha!
Congratulations to all!! We like your choice of names, since we have an Isaac too!! Be prepared for people not spelling it correctly–even Bible knowledgable people!! People get confused on which letter has two letters in the name and put two “a’s” and two “s’s” just to be safe!!! Enjoy and take care!!
Thanks Denise! Yours was one of the Isaacs we thought of when we picked out the name. We’ll try not to get frustrated when people spell it wrong. Hope your family is doing well.

Congratulations Dan and Sarah! I love your name choice, and you have such a handsome little newborn on your hands! Praying that you find some rest during your time of adjustment.
Congratulations to your whole family!! It’s a wonderful name, and he’s a beautiful boy. (and congrats on the successful VBAC, too!)
